My AI Workflow: One TikTok Transcript, a Week of Content

Tired of the content treadmill? I was too. Here's my exact AI workflow for turning one TikTok transcript into a full week of posts. It's a game-changer.

My AI Workflow: One TikTok Transcript, a Week of Content

You post a video. It does okay, maybe even great. And then... what? The pressure hits to do it all again tomorrow. And the next day. That's the content treadmill, and it's how founders burn out on social media.

I know the feeling. I posted around 500 videos over 3 years to get 40 million views, and my biggest mistake was thinking one video equaled one post. It's a huge waste. Your best ideas deserve more than one chance to land.

The fix isn't making more content; it's getting more mileage out of your best ideas. My AI repurposing workflow turns one good video—one with real substance—into a full week of assets. Using this system, I turn a single TikTok transcript into a week of content, cutting my creation time from over 90 minutes down to just 30.

The Old Way: Manual Repurposing is a Full-Time Job

My old manual repurposing process was a full-time job of brute force. Before I built the system that became Dalea AI, I'd find a video that did well and then start a grind that would kill an entire afternoon:

  • Manually transcribe it. Pause, type, rewind, repeat. It was awful.
  • Stare at the wall of text. I'd try to pull out key quotes, big ideas, or tweetable moments.
  • Write new captions. Every platform needs a slightly different format and tone.
  • Design graphics. I'd fire up Canva to make a quote graphic for Instagram or a text post for LinkedIn.
  • Chop up the video. I'd hunt for a short, punchy clip to use as a Reel or Short.

Doing this for just one video was unsustainable. As a founder, I have a business to run—I can't be a one-man social media production house. That kind of manual grind is why most people give up on content.

The New Way: The AI Repurposing Workflow

My workflow is based on a simple idea marketers have talked about for years: “Create Once, Distribute Forever.” The only difference is that AI actually makes it possible for one person to pull it off. Here's my process.

Step 1: Identify Your Pillar Video

Your best pillar video for repurposing is not the one with the most views, but the one that started a real conversation. The metric I obsess over is Shares. A share means someone found your video so useful they had to send it to a friend. That's what the algorithm loves to see.

For my old education app, @fokvs, my highest-viewed video was a 12-second trend that got 1.7M views. It was fine for reach, but it didn't build the brand. A much better pillar was a 60-second piece on university curiosities that hit 1.5M views on TikTok. It was full of value, and the comments were packed with questions—perfect raw material.

Step 2: Get the Transcript

This plain text file is the foundation for everything else, so the goal is to get the raw TikTok transcript into a text file. TikTok has a built-in feature for captions and transcripts, so you can just copy it straight from the app.

Step 3: Feed the Transcript to an AI That Knows You

The most critical step is to feed your transcript to an AI that has context about your brand, because a generic AI will produce bland, robotic garbage. An AI is only as good as the context it has about you.

This is exactly why we built Dalea AI to be a Social Media Agent. Before writing anything, it looks at my profile, my niche, my voice, and what's worked before. So when I give it my transcript, it already knows:

  • Who my target audience is (founders and professionals, not students).
  • My content pillars (building in public, AI workflows, social media strategy).
  • My tone (direct, no-fluff).
  • What has worked for me in the past (data-driven insights, personal stories).

I don’t have to write a 10-page prompt. The context is already baked in.

Step 4: Generate a Week of Content Derivatives

With the transcript and brand context loaded, the AI can map out a full week of content derivatives. For one 60-second video, this is what a typical week looks like:

  • Monday (The Pillar): Post the original video on Instagram Reels and TikTok. The main event.

  • Tuesday (The Key Takeaways): Dalea pulls out the three key takeaways and turns them into a quick text post for LinkedIn or a simple text-on-screen Reel. It's for the people who'd rather read than watch.

  • Wednesday (The Quote Clip): Dalea finds the punchiest or most controversial line. I'll either clip that part of the original video or just re-record the line with a bit more punch. It makes for a super shareable 10-15 second clip.

  • Thursday (The Deeper Dive): My original video might have just touched on a concept. I'll grab that one point and have Dalea's AI Script Generator write a new 30-second script that goes deeper. It's a fresh piece of content, but the idea came from the original with zero effort.

  • Friday (The Q&A): I'll sift through the comments on the original video and use them for an Instagram Story Q&A. It shows I'm actually listening and helps turn viewers into a real community.

This whole process is a key part of the system I cover in my 3-step AI workflow for content creation. It’s all about working smarter.

Isn't this just spamming the same content?

No. You're giving the same core idea to different people in different ways. Some people love video, others want a quick list, and some only watch Stories. By repurposing, you're meeting them where they are. As HubSpot's guide on content repurposing points out, it's about reaching new people and making your message stick.

Can't I just use ChatGPT for this?

You can try, but you'll probably be disappointed. Like I said, context is everything. ChatGPT has no idea who you are, what your brand voice is, or what you're trying to achieve. You'll waste more time writing crazy long prompts and editing generic junk than you would just doing it yourself. A specialized tool that gets your social media presence will always beat a general one for this kind of work.

How do I pick which video to repurpose?

Check your analytics, but don't just look at views. The numbers that matter are Shares and Saves. Those are signs that people found it genuinely valuable. A video with 10k views and 500 shares is way better fuel for repurposing than one with 100k views and 10 shares. That shareable video has ideas worth spreading. The TikTok Creator Portal has some good guides on digging into these numbers.

How much time does this actually save?

For me, it's the difference between a full day of content work and about 30 minutes. The old way—scripting, filming, editing, then manually chopping it all up—took me 90 minutes to 2 hours for one piece of content. Now, this AI-assisted workflow takes me from one idea to a week of scheduled posts in half an hour. That's time I can put back into the product or talking to customers.

Get Off the Treadmill

Your social media shouldn't be a series of one-offs. Think of it as a library of your expertise, where every post builds on the last to establish your authority and bring in clients.

Repurposing is the fastest way I've found to build that library. You take your best idea and give it every possible chance to be seen, understood, and remembered.

If you're a busy founder or professional, you don't have time to be a full-time creator. You need a system. This is mine. Dalea AI is the agent I built to handle the strategy and scripting so I can just focus on sharing what I know.

For $9.90 a month, it can do the same for you. Get a free profile analysis and content strategy to see how it can turn your best ideas into a content engine that actually works.
